Presidential memorabilia

Presidential memorabilia.
We just acquired an extensive collection of presidential memorabilia from a lady who spent her career as a White House administrator. For 44 years she worked with seven different presidential administrations. There are some personal photos with her and one of these world leaders plus lots and lots of photos of the presidents. I spoke to her personally and she told me that she was often in charge of sending out the Christmas cards or publicity photographs. In addition she collected presidential pens and pins plus other gifts that were given to dignitaries, staff members, and others. If you want to add to your collection of presidential memorabilia this is the time! I guarantee that each piece is authentic and that it came from a career White House staffer. I will email a copy of a letter on Jimmy Carter's letterhead to this lady. It states that he and Rosalynn are pleased to join in honoring her retirement after 44 years of outstanding service to the federal government. 30 of those 44 years were spent at the White House during the tenure of seven presidents attesting to her stamina dedication and excellence. This is a once in a lifetime chance to acquire true authentic Presidential memorabilia!

Beautiful antique French tapestry just into our antiques mall. It features incredible details and remains in great condition. Imagine the gorgeous home this must have once hung in! It measures approximately 3 feet across and 69 inches in length. It came from a local retired resident who said it was his mother's and before her, his grandmother's. This is classical Art Nouveau style dating from the turn of the last century. A true beauty!

This is an exceptional pair of antique wall sconces circa 1801 Empire. They are gilt and patinated bronze featuring an Egyptian emperor bust at the top with three light candelabra in the form of heralding trumpets, each with a face on the curve. The gilt leafy wreaths add to the Impressiveness of these 20 inch tall ormolu wall sconces. They were stored in a box dated 1801 which is correct for the period of these rare Egyptian revival sconces. One half of a laurel wreath is no longer attached at the back. Imagine the magnificent room these wall sconces would have lit! They would be mysterious and elegant flickering in the candlelight. These antique lamps are incredible and unlike any we have had in our antiques mall before.

We just acquired this beautiful antique turn of last century Oak display cabinet. What I like particularly about it is the attention to detail. It has beautiful tiger oak grain, gorgeous carving along the front top that is rarely seen, lion paw feet and bowed glass on the front with additional glass on the sides to add extra light. This must have been made for a wealthy person's home at the time with all the little extras.

Antique lamp, Art Deco/Nouveau marble sculpture lamp just into our antiques mall here in Fort Myers, FL. It is a fabulously carved antique marble sculpture from the early 1900s. I called her Venus because she reminds me of Botticelli's famous Birth of Venus 1486 painting where Venus is standing demurely on a shell with the wind blowing her hair. The artist did an expert rendition of the 1400s subject which he brought to his early 1900s era. It is pleasing both to Art Deco and Art Nouveau fans. In addition to being a stunning sculpture it's also an elegant antique lamp. The base lights up making this an even more beautiful piece perfect for any setting.
