Gorham is one of the top American manufacturers of sterling silver and the Versailles pattern is one of the most beloved. This intricate pattern was designed by Anton Heller and introduced by Gorham in 1885. It is Heller's most famous pattern. He went to great lengths to make different scenes on the terminal of the pieces, all inspired by the Palace of Versailles in Paris It is no wonder that the White House has used Gorham silver services during many administrations.
