This is an antique silver trophy given to Howard C. Brokaw presented by Walter S. Hoyt. The Garteret Gun Club was originally in Long Island New York but later moved to New Jersey when it became illegal to use live birds as targets for shooting games. The Garteret Gun Club was made up of very wealthy members from the New York area. This antique silver trophy stands about 9.25" tall and from handle to handle measures about 13.5" wide. The maker of this sterling silver trophy was Black, Starr, & Frost and the trophy is well hallmarked.
